A good movie, which cares a lot for artistic and authentic aspects – film, documentary, short film, cartoon – as well as variously thematic, both author festivals and cycles of national cinematographies, lectures, workshops, panel discussions with film makers and experts, media conferences, informative and well-designed print and visual material, stimulating dedication to film art and visual culture are characteristics of the Centre film programme that has secured respect of both film experts and wide audience of all generations and profiles.

Film programme is a complementary part of many other programmes and interdisciplinary projects of the Centre (The October Salon; “Paris–Belgrade, les affinités électives“ (“Paris–Belgrade, Affinity By Choice; Pariz–Beograd, srodnost po izboru”); Psychoanalysis as a View Onto The World; Hitchcock’s Vertigos, Today; Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; December Plays Jazz; At A Concert with Vladan Desnica, etc.
The Cultural Centre of Belgrade, along with its Movie Theatre, profiled as „the cinema of good movies“, is the co-organizer and host to most relevant film festivals in the country: FEST, Author Film Festival, Belgrade Documentary and Short Film Festival, Free Zone, as well as of many other film festivals and projects.
Such a concept of the film programme is supported by EURIMAGES, the European Union programme for supporting exhibitors of European artistic films, within whose system the Movie Theatre has been since 2006.
