The Belgrade Cultural Centre is a multi-disciplinary centre, founded in 1957. The Centre’s programmes, through different forms and through different media, deal with important works of contemporary world art and science, mass and high culture, but also with works of world and domestic heritage. Adhering to the belief that both established values and inspired alternative research enterprises, as information and object of critical judgement, equally deserve to be presented to the public, the Centre is the organizer and co-organizer of traditional events in Belgrade, such as the October Salon and the Belgrade International Writers’ Meeting on the one hand, and more alternatively conceived projects, such as Manufacture Be, the Belgrade Summer Festival, The Festival of Auteur Film - A View into the World on the other.

The Belgrade Cultural Centre is situated in the Press House, which was designed by the architect Rata Bogojevic, and within the protected walking area of the historico-cultural entity of Knez Mihailova Street. With its attractive three-levelled architectural design, with triple orientation and a prestigious venue in the very heart of the city, it is suitable for the organization of a broad range of programmes: from exhibitions, film shows, and symposia to street happenings.

A unique complex of multi-purpose spaces, totalling over 2000 sqm, which comprises a movie theatre with a lounge and auxiliary premises (747 sqm), an art gallery (120 sqm), Belgrade Window (565 sqm), the Step gallery (280 sqm), studios and stock rooms (305 sqm) and office space and auxiliary premises (366 sqm), as well as its polyvalent programme orientation give the Centre an essential part in the experience of Belgrade.
